Bangladesh Women Beat Pakistan Women By One Wicket
Bangladesh Women win the second and final one-day international and level the series against Pakistan Women in a one-wicket thriller at the Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.
Pakistan opted to bat and scored 210 all-out in 48.4 overs in an innings plagued with four run-outs at the Gaddafi Stadium.
Nahida Khan and Javeria Khan started the innings. Nahida scored 63 with the help of eight fours. Javeria made 24, captain Bismah Maroof posted 34 and Aliya Riaz ended with handy 36. Sidra Nawaz remained not out on 19 that helped nudge total above 200. For Bangladesh Rumana Ahmed bagged three while Salma Khatun grabbed two wickets.
In reply, Bangladesh Women chased down the target for the loss of nine wickets with one ball to spare. After 29 for 2, Murshida Khatun and Forgana Hoque added 82 for the third wicket. Khatun fell on 44 but Forgana was then joined by Rumana Ahmed in a fourth wicket 55-run partnership that propelled bangladesh women even closer to the target. Rumana scored 31 before getting caught of Nashra. But Sanjida Alam scored handy 20 and Jahanara Alam and Nahid Akhter, both unbeaten, made sure that they crossed over before the last ball was bowled.
