The names of PML-N members who were absent from the joint sitting of the parliament came to light. PML-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi demanded to issue show cause notices to the members of his party who were absent from the joint sitting of the parliament. Speaking on a program on a private TV channel, he revealed that 31 members of the opposition were absent from the joint sitting of parliament, including 12 members of his party, five of whom were ill while seven were on strike. Notice must be issued.
Former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that 31 more members of the opposition should have been present in the meeting but they were not present, out of which 12 belong to PML-N, out of which 5 had justification as to why they could not attend the meeting.
He said that Member National Assembly Riaz Pirzada and Member National Assembly Afzal Khokhar are ill, one member National Assembly Ehsan Bajwa is out of the country, Senator Saleem Zia has undergone an operation recently, Senator Chaudhry Tanveer has been out of the country for a long time. Senator Dilawar Khan was present in Pakistan but I don’t know why he did not attend. I also talked to Senator Ahmed Manika. He also had a reason, while Senator Raheela Magsi was also absent from the meeting without any reason, Senator Kulsoom Parveen. I don’t know why they are often absent. Another member Iftikhar Nazir was informed late that he arrived but could not attend the meeting.
