US President Trump Bestows High Military Honors On Emir Of Kuwait


According to Kuwaiti media, the US President handed over the medal to Sheikh Nasir Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah during a special ceremony at the White House.

The United States has acknowledged the great role and tireless struggle of the Emir of Kuwait around the world. The medal is also the culmination of decades of unique historical partnership between Kuwait and the United States.
The medal was presented to the Emir of Kuwait at a time when the two countries are celebrating the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations.
According to the Kuwaiti news agency Kona, the military medal given by the US President to the Emir of Kuwait at the rank of Commander-in-Chief has been presented to only 11 leaders of the Allied countries in history. This top medal was last awarded in 1991.

The signing ceremony took place at the White House, attended by President Donald Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Emirati Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Bahraini Foreign Minister Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa.

The agreement was later signed by Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu in the presence of the US President, while Bahrain and the UAE Foreign Ministers signed the agreement. US President Donald Trump also signed the agreement as a witness.
Number of Arab states recognizing Israel
Since the agreement, the number of Arab states recognizing Israel has risen to four, followed by Egypt in 1979 and Jordan in 1994.
It should be noted that the United Arab Emirates announced a peace agreement with Israel on August 13 and Bahrain on September 11.
